Little Workers
The Whale Block has been working hard and getting grubby while shifting six tonnes of limestone rock. As you may have noticed, because of the rain, erosion has started to expose the roots of many native trees on the north side of the Whale Block.
We all had lots of fun while shifting and carrying rocks using wheelbarrows and trolleys. To be environmentally friendly, the students of the Whale Block have been putting in their own time to cement and build a barrier to stabilise sand erosion on the hill.
We are hoping that after a while the trees will be big enough to give us a cool and comfortable environment in which to learn.
