Making the most of ART.
Which kid (big and small) doesn't enjoy the mess, fun and creativity of art? Swanbourne Primary P & C are proud to present ARTBAR - a new concept to engage our kids in art and showcase it in a creative exhibition and social evening for parents and friends to enjoy.
WHEN: FRIDAY 28th July, 7pm
WHERE: Swanbourne Primary School
ARTBAR promises to be an amazing night out with a great line up of entertainment including local DJ F.A.D.J, our very own opera star Harriet O'Shannessy and the Gold Star Ukelele Collective. Plus a delicious grazing smorgasbord included in your ticket price!
If you get a little peckish through the evening, a paella stall will be available (gluten and vegetarian options available) to purchase. Plus the Handsome stranger Caravan Bar will be on tap to provide a selection of drinks for the evening.
A huge amount of work has gone on behind the scenes setting up this great event. Teachers, parents, and students have all contributed to making art part of this event. If you have not got a ticket as yet, don’t miss out! Hop onto the link below to secure your place. All kids artwork can be pre bought prior to the event... use the button below to purchase.
Meet some local artists at our ARTBAR evening
As part of the ARTBAR, we have invited some of our local artists from Perth who will display some of their work during the evening. A short praise below.
Kathryn Court is best known for her use of bright colours and distinctive mark-making in her works using oils, acrylics, ink and metal leaf. Tribal inspired marks dominate her abstract works on canvas, whilst in contrast, her current floral series makes a bold contemporary statement with brightly coloured flowers on japanned plywood panels.
Lizzie Marinko is a digital artist creating artworks made up of thousands of individually drawn shapes, using a digital pen and tablet on her computer. Each artwork is a play on light and colour in the natural environment; a note to both impressionism and photography and a celebration of our unique landscape. Each drawing takes an average 50 hours to complete.
Annabel Cribb specialises in commissions that reflect the individual needs and desires of her clients. Her pieces are unique and diverse and have been curated for children’s bedrooms, living spaces, school murals, and some of Perth’s most distinguished homes. A few of her works can be seen at ACO on Napoleon St in Cottesloe.
Annabel is pleased to offer Art Bar patrons customised commissions of her Super Hero range on the night!! Bookings can be made for one of a kind creation using your child's name and/or their unique super powers!
Behind the scenes...art created from recycled goods - so much love!
